Even before COVID, more and more consumers were shopping online, making complaints through online forms, and conducting more of their daily lives virtually. Now, with a pandemic, that has intensified. Many purchases are made online with no opportunity to inspect the product and consumers must rely on online reviews and whatever information is provided by the seller to make a purchasing decision. What can we do to maximize safety information to help consumers both make informed decisions, and act if they have a safety issue with a product?
