Oriene Shin is a policy counsel in Consumer Reports’ Washington, DC office. Her work focuses on public policy and advocacy issues related to household products, including unstable furniture and unsafe infant sleep products, and vehicle safety. Prior to joining CR, Oriene served as Director of Programs & Communications and as Policy Counsel for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, where she focused on advancing the interests of the Asian Pacific American attorneys and communities. She has worked on a number of issues, including issues related to human trafficking, immigration, and education. Oriene attended Bowdoin College and earned her law degree from the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law.
